I have had the chance to play with this absolutely beautiful serum for the last few weeks. Now that it has officially launched, I am so excited to actually get to talk about it!
I first heard about One Love organics from Wife Life, one of my absolute favorite Youtubers. She is constantly talking about their Easy Does It Cleanser. So when I got the chance to try out their newest release, I knew I wanted to give it a shot.
One Love Organics is actually going to be replacing their original Love Springs Eternal face oil with the Botanical E Youth Preservation Serum. If you used and loved their Love Springs Eternal, this is essentially that on steroids.
LET’S TALK BASICS
It smells divine. I know that realistically that shouldn’t mean much… but it does. It’s delicious and makes me want to reach for it even more often. To me, it smells like watermelon. The owner of One Love Organics describes the scent as more of a cucumber and aloe scent, but I swear all I smell is watermelon and I’m not mad about it.
It comes in two sizes: the traditional 1oz ($75) and the 8ml travel sized rollerball ($29).
WHAT MAKES IT STAND OUT
While some plant oils can actually contribute to sun damage, this has been tested and shown to have none of the photo-toxic properties: essentially, it is completely safe to use during the day without fear of actually doing harm to your skin.
Everything about this makes my skin happy. With a bases of green tea seed and watermelon seed oils, it is deeply nourishing while still being light enough for oily skin. If you have very dehydrated skin like mine, I like to layer a moisturizer on after, but if you have oily skin, this could easily be enough all on its own. The blue sea kale and naturally derived Vitamin E provides the skin with antioxidants while also addressing skin texture issues. This oil works to improve fines lines and wrinkles, although I can’t attest to that claim myself.
What I can attest to is how it made my skin feel. My skin drinks this stuff up like a tall glass of water. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and not once did I break out. NOT ONCE! Considering that I have had ongoing acne issues for the past few years, that’s just about the most amazing sentence I’ve ever said. I’ve found that it’s helped to get the texture on my cheeks to subside slightly as well. I have noticed that on the nights when I have used this, my skin texture has been smoother the next day and my makeup just looks vastly better.
Another thing that really caught my eye is that it is good for a full year. Not if you use a lot of organic, natural products like I do, this can be a big deal. A lot of more natural companies can only guarantee maximum efficacy for 6 or so months, so having a product like this actually last a full year is a god send.
FINAL THOUGHTS
There is nothing about this product that I wouldn’t recommend. I think it would be suitable for all skin types. If your main concerns are fine lines and wrinkles giving your skin a youthful appearance, I would definitely recommend trying this out!
Now I want to try everything else this beautiful brand has to offer.
