Juice Organics Brightening Collection

I have always had a love/hate relationship with my hair. My boyfriend loves when I grow it out long, and I hate everything that goes along with having long hair.

My main problem with having long hair, is that I also have incredibly thin hair. So while some people have gorgeous long, thick, voluminous hair, I have hair that falls flat and ends up stick straight. It ends up in a bun by lunch because the flatness bothers me so much. My other qualm with thin hair is that my scalp tends to get oily quickly, while my ends get incredibly dry.

I’ve been wanted to make the switch over to a more natural shampoo & conditioner alternative for awhile now, but every brand that I’ve tried has left me feeling like the trade-off just isn’t worth it. My all-time favorite shampoo & conditioner is from Aussie and to my knowledge is not a natural-based brand.

Then I got the chance to try the Juice Organics Brightening range. To be completely honest, I don’t really know how to brighten your hair. I didn’t even know that you hair could get brighter. But the idea of an organics haircare range built for normal to oily hair  (specifically fine hair that tends to go oily) really intrigued me.

Both the shampoo & conditioner paragons, silicons, & sulfates.

I found that the shampoo really did clarify my scalp. I was able to go 3 days without feeling like a grease-ball (which is impressive for me). It does smell faintly of an orange peel, which I find very refreshing in the morning. While it does help to rid the scalp of oil, I didn’t find that it made my scalp feel stripped or flaky like some intense shampoos for oily hair can do.

While I did enjoy the shampoo, the real stand-out product for me was the Brightening Conditioner. For someone with incredibly thin hair, I always fear using a product that is thick. When I read that the Brightening Conditioner was built for people with normal to oily hair, I must say I was a bit confused. When I think thick, rich conditioners, I think about how weighed down my hair will be. But with the Juice Organics Brightening Conditioner, I get the best of both worlds; a thick, luxurious conditioner without ever weighing my hair down or making it go oily quicker. To me, it feels like a luxurious hair mask that could be used everyday. The ends of my hair feel incredibly moisturized, and my hair still has a nice bounce to it.

The best part about Juice Organics is the price. I believe that both the shampoo & conditioner together total $22 and it was just recently picked up by Target so they’re actually easy to get ahold of. I whole-heartedly recommend trying out Juice Organics, specifically the Brightening Conditioner if you’re only looking to get one thing.
